"Model" Etiquette

She was tall, thin, fair skin, light blonde tresses and dressed to the nine in her J.Crew slacks, Banana Republic top and what were sure to be Marc Jacobs peep toe pumps. Her accessories were to-die-for and her purse was of course fabulous and I watched as she re-applied her make-up asking where she got her bronzer if only to make odd bathroom conversation.

You might ask, why you all in o'girl's face – but PAUSE player. I give you this as the back-story. Wanted to set the scene like a Christopher Nolan movie…

The truth was, this tall ELLE model looking girl had just gave me a glimpse of her deep, dark, dirty self and needless to say I wasn’t pleased.

It’s about 6PM, late night at work, the usual. As I am heading out for the day I make that last stop at the porcelain palace before taking the long train ride home.
I go in and start to handle my business but as I am doing so I hear the jingle jangle of bangles notifying me that someone else has entered the restroom.

Then IT BEGINS (dark ominous music begins to rise):

I hear the tinkle sprinkle
The TP roll
The toilet flush
The bolt unlock
The squeal of the creaky door
Everything you’re supposed to hear EXCEPT…
THE RUNNING OF THE  FAUCET!!!! (Loud Psycho-shower-scene Reh! Reh! Reh!)

I hear the jingle jangle bangles once more and that’s when I realized…this bitch just went to the bathroom and didn’t wash her damn hands! *GASSSSSSP*

The same hands that undoubtedly grazed her lady parts are now primping and prepping her face. I had to do everything in my power not to look at her with that “you nasty heifer” look  -- “Oh That bronzer is so pretty, Is it MAC? *heh heh*”

Disgusting right?

Well the trouble is; this isn’t the first time that this has happened. I work in a pretty well known corporate building and it goes without saying that people are held to a bit of a higher standard. HOWEVER, I can count on both hands how many times I have been in the vicinity when some triflin’ ish like this has gone down.

I mean good grief people, this is one of the first things that you learn as a child and here is this grown ass woman, just took a piss and she doesn’t know how to wash her hands?!?!

I must be missing something.

I mean since when did this become a trend? Did someone send out a memo and I just didn’t get it?

What do you think – Is this unacceptable or #IsitJustMe?

In the Beginning...

Have you ever been somewhere, seen something or heard something where you double-take and say, #IsItJustMe or is something a little off about what just happened?

Welp – that happens to me all the time so, I thought to myself, why not make an outlet for all the sideways smirks, raised eyebrowed and *kanye shrug* situations that come my way.  So, here goes it...
